I recently visited The Great Break, a leather store, and had an incredible shopping experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the quality and diversity of their leather products, which ranged from, wallets, and belts to more unique items like handmade journals and bags. The leather itself felt premium, and the store had a distinct, rich scent that only comes with genuine, well-crafted leather goods. Honestly one of the best leather stores in the whole of Southern Africa. Run by a man that looks 10 years younger than he claims to be, and muscles that could be compared to the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, I couldn’t recommend a better place if you are in need of a leather item to satisfy your needs.

    Where are you based?

    Our workshop studio is located along the nature abundant Garden Route of South Africa in the coastal town of Mossel Bay!

    What type of leather do you use?

    Our primary material is full grain, vegetable tanned leather (Bovine), using water based chemicals and finished with wax and plated to achieve a slight sheen.

    We do not use pigskin.

    Do you ship internationally?

    Yes, we do! If you are shopping from the US you will be able to check out with the option of international delivery. Should you be shopping from another country (other than South Africa) please contact us directly for an accurate shipping quote. Shipping Policy

    Do you do custom orders?

    Individuals - Include a name / initials engraving on certain leather goods. This option is available when selecting your item.

    We do our best to accomodate specific requirements on individual orders when possible and at our discretion.
